Product description
Our gearbox range also includes complete transmissions designed for certain agricultural machinery sectors where, besides gearboxes, the mechanical transmissions used also require other mechanical components in order to obtain:
- transmissions with gearbox and gear trough for rotary harrows;
- transmissions with transfer box on the support frame, double universal joints and bevel gear pairs complete with rotating plate for hay tedder-turners;
- load-bearing crossbars with transfer box and side extensions for frame and drawbar couplings for round balers;
- assemblies with three housings on load-bearing frame with fourth low speed shaft, for double-disc fertilizer spreaders;
- disc mowing attachments with or without side gearbox, both discs with blades fastened by bolt and nut and quick release discs.
The technical features vary to a considerable extent since they depend on the application and the customers’ requirements, below is only a brief description of our range which includes the following series: B – RB – R | RE-RX – PH – TE – Inter-row harrow

Standard cutter bar with integrated gearbox
Series B is CMR’s compact, cost-effective solution, with the gearbox integrated directly into the cutter bar, and is intended mainly for side-mounted mowers.
It is available in 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8-discs configurations, with cutting widths from 1.650 to 3.176 mm.

Series BF is a cutter bar with direct input to the disc transmission and no integrated gearbox.
It is available in 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9-discs configurations, with cutting widths from 2.069 to 3.589 mm.

Professional cutter bar with advanced cutting system
Series BA was developed for high-productivity professional applications.
Its special configuration places the discs ahead of the transmission line, improving crop flow during cutting. The safety system is designed so that the affected components can be replaced without opening the cutter bar.
It is available in 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10-disc configurations, with cutting widths from 2.550 to 4.150 mm.

Series BAL is CMR’s solution for professional applications requiring high power and large working widths.
The transmission integrates the gearbox directly into the cutter bar and is designed to handle power ratings up to 140 HP.
It is available in 12, 14 and 16-disc configurations, reaching a maximum cutting width of 6.600 mm.

Series PH (Complete units for rotary harrows)
General features: CMR Agriculture offers a complete range of transmission units for rotary harrows, supplied assembled, tested and ready for integration into the machine. Each unit includes the complete mechanical transmission, with gear train, shafts, tine-holder hubs, supports, bearings and integrated main gearbox. The manufacturer then completes the machine with its own structural steelwork, frame, rear roller and guards. Tines are normally supplied separately, but may be available on request. This complete solution allows OEMs to simplify the design and manufacture of the harrow, starting from a CMR mechanical assembly that is ready to install.
The range includes several sizes and configurations for power ratings from 40 to 300 HP and is designed for use with CMR Agriculture Series E gearboxes:
- Serie EM – fixed ratio: EM40, EM80, EM110, EM130 and EM300
- Serie EC – speed change: EC110, EC130, EC220 and EC300
The combination of transmission and gearbox allows the assembly to be configured according to the required power, working width and application.
Three families for different applications
CMR complete transmission units for rotary harrows are divided into three main families:
PH – Standard
Compact solutions for small rotary harrows, hobby machines and inter-row applications.
PHC – Professional
Professional versions designed for intensive agricultural use, with reinforced transmissions and case-hardened gears.
PHH – Heavy Duty
Reinforced versions for high power and demanding working conditions, with larger gears, reinforced supports and a thicker unit structure.
A complete solution for rotary harrow manufacturers
With the PH range, CMR Agriculture supplies more than a gearbox or individual transmission components: it provides a complete transmission unit with the entire mechanical system already assembled, finished and tested. The manufacturer can integrate the CMR assembly into its machine and focus on the structural steelwork, frame and other harrow-specific elements. From compact 40 HP applications to professional 300 HP Heavy Duty solutions, the range makes it possible to configure the transmission according to working width, power and the machine’s specific requirements.

PH100C is designed for professional and more intensive use. Compared with the standard versions, its transmission uses fully case-hardened gears, increasing the strength and service life of the mechanical assembly.

PH130H is the Heavy Duty solution in the CMR range, designed for high-power professional rotary harrows and particularly demanding working conditions.
The entire assembly is sized and reinforced compared with the standard versions, from the gear train and lower supports through to the unit structure.
